Glow marketing approached IBT Services in 2006, on behalf of its client, PetClub UK. IBT Services worked in association with Glow marketing, who provided the design and project management of the site, to fulfil the client's brief. PetClub UK's ambition was to become the largest and most popular website providing information and specialist products for pet owners and breeders in the UK. The managing director of PetClub UK required a site that could host thousands of articles on a range of animals as well as featuring interactive services such as competitions and forums for its members.
The e-Commerce side of PetClub UK required a similarly large capacity for products to be shipped from a network of third party suppliers, all with different shopping cost models. Unity allows all items in PetClub's shop to be listed with the a range of price engine websites such as Kelkoo and Froogle enabling the site to reach the maximum network of customers.
Within a short period of time Unity's e-Commerce, Content Management and Forum modules met all of PetClub's requirements simply and quickly. The site has nearly a thousand content managed pages and well over 2000 products in the shop.
